Most Beautiful Sight On Guam (So Far)

I can finally answer my brother's question of what is the most beautiful sight that I have seen on Guam. This passed Sunday Matthew and I went out to a park where the ocean creates natural salt water pools out of the coral that surrounds it.  Below are some pictures!!

We started by climbing up the old stairs and walking (dangerously) across narrow coral to a lookout over the whole park.

Beautiful right?  The breaks in the coral create little pools that were full of colorful fish and went from just a few inches deep to about 8 feet in some places.

This is us (and Pluto came along) at the top of that perch overlooking the ocean and south side of the island.

Look at those colors!  Yepp, definitely the most beautiful sight so far!

You could walk all the way around this part of the park because the coral created little shelves and mini waterfalls.

My handsome stud man!

Here is a picture of how they had to get Pluto down! lol.

It was a good time out with friends!  The perfect location for someone that could not get completely submerged in the water due to some ugly stitches.  But I get those taken out on Friday and I will be able to get back to normal then!

Burn It Down | October 17, 2018

I want to tell you all a little story about a day that I had recently, yesterday in fact! I'll start where my day always seems to start: Six am on the dot with a mouth breathing Isabella standing right beside my bed.  Anyone else have one of those type of children?  The ones that wake at the same absurd hour of the early morning? Both of my children have inherited that lovely trait from their father, not from me! Anywho, I could sense that she was there; standing beside me, staring at me, willing me to wake up.  You know, that ability to feel someone's presence before you actually see them?  Yep, that is how I wake up most mornings since Matthew left on his deployment. And so the day started!  Conner was already awake as well, I could hear him 'talking' to himself in his bedroom.  So in we went to get Conner up and changed to bring downstairs with us.  Only problem, Conner woke up on the wrong side of the bed on this particular morning.  So ...

April Update

I thought that since I had not given an update in a while that is was about time I did.  So I am going to tell you what has been going on this past month. Matthew First  (because his is shorter than mine): Matthew had his certification test this past month as well as his E4 qualification exam.  He took the E4 exam before he had certification tests.  The E4 exam has a lot to do with why he was assigned to unaccompanied travel to Guam.  He was supposed to be ranked up to an E4 before he could be sent overseas as a accompanied traveler.  (If that doesn't make sense to you...join the club)  But, luckily  Matthew feels like he did well on the exam so hopefully he will be ranked up to an E4 and there won't be any controversy over me joining him in Guam.  Then there's the certification tests; these are the tests that he takes at the school for learning how to be a Naval K9 handler.  Matthew feels that he did really well on these tests ...

Rainy Thursday!

A rainy day here is nothing like a rainy day at home.  When it rains here all day you end up with rivers for roads and flooding in your backyard.  It has been raining non stop since I woke up this morning at 8:30 am.  And it was even raining before I woke up so I have no idea how many hours straight it has been raining.  But it is now 4pm and there is still no end in sight to the wet madness!  Here is a video of just how crazy it is out there: Matthew and I spent the morning getting some good shopping in.  We went to Kmart, Ross, and the Commissary for food.  We did really well too and only got what we put on our shopping list.  Well, except for a couple to Halloween decorations!  But that is only because we know that we don't have any at all and we want to participate in Halloween this year.  We are going to give out candy to the little kiddies in our neighborhood.  We have been told that the tick-or-treaters are serious out h...
